This is one that most of you have probably seen or played. But, will post it up for some who may have not.
This is a basketball shooting game. In the video, we are using a playground type ball to lessen the number of injuries to faces and fingers 🙂
I tell them sometimes in this game that dribbling is optional.
Divide your students into as many teams as you need to. You could easily have two games going on each end if your gym is large enough.Players collect the poly spots on shots that are made and bring them back to their team. Play continues until all the spots are gone (or allotted time has expired). At the end of a round, I have our kindergarten age just count their spots they collected. 1st-4th grades add up the total of the numbered poly spots they collected.
Sometimes I throw out a 10 point spot or two near half court for a more difficult challenge.
