I (personally) invented (and coined the name of) the game of Taps with my two friends in the SLU (Southeastern Louisiana University) Rec Center ~circa 2003-ish. There are “elements” of our original game, that I see in this video, but for the most part, it has been butchered and utterly ruined.
This is NOT “Taps.”
We occasionally witnessed people (we didn’t know) playing the game we invented, and were amazed that they knew the name of it, and were playing it….it blew our minds. We still joke about it today. But to see this 😑. Taps is a 3-pointer Shooting Training game, combined with skills of blocking out, rebounding, and put-backs. I can CLEARLY see the “remnants” of the actual game here. But it’s butchered and wrong.
Not trying to be disparaging (or anything) to the makers of the video. But you made a video about a game that I invented…and you’re doing it wrong. 🤷♂️
