NFL Play 60 Obstacle Course and Agility Drill

In support of the NFL’s Back to Football Friday and Play 60 Programs, I designed this obstacle course and agility drill for the students at my elementary school.  This course was just one part of several activities that were happening at school during physical education classes and lunch time recess.  The focus of the day was not only to get the children excited about the return of the football season, but also to encourage them to find creative ways at home to be physically active for at least 60 minutes every day.  Developing the children’s basic fundamental skills in sport while keeping their intrest by being creative and fun continues to be one of the best ways to continue the ongoing fight againt childhood obesity.
