Colored beanbags are scattered around the middle of the gym floor (shark filled ocean). Each beanbag represents a different numerical value. Blue=1, red=5, yellow=10, green=25, purple=100. Students are divided into four groups and placed around the outside of the gym (shore). Team members then use carpet rectangles as stepping stones to move their team to the middle of the gym where the beanbags are. (1 fewer carpet rectangle than team members). If any member of the team touches the floor, the team must start over. Once the team reaches the beanbags they must solve the math problem and collect the correct beanbags to add up to the answer of the problem. The group that gets back to their shore first with the correct answer and beanbag combination wins.
