The first week of school is so overwhelming, so many trainings, new students, new behaviors, new routines, going over expectations, figuring our new schedules and accomodations and duties
.
It can feel like an eternity has passed in that first week of school… BUT… Just a reminder that taking account of how you feel, imagine how a 5 year old kiddo feels that is acclimating to an 8 hour school day for the first time 😫
.
Speaking from my experience as a parent – It’s rough for these kiddos too! Have some empathy for them, of course hold them accountable, but do it with love and understanding that they are just as spent as we are
.
Teaching gets easier once all students and teachers find their flow, finish up all the back to school paperwork/trainings and get into their routines
.
Just a word of encouragement to my teacher fam to keep up the great work you’re doing with students and Have Fun and Teach On 👊🏻
