Man From Mars

This is another good warm-up game that works on dodging, fleeing, chasing and tagging.  I play this game with grades 3-5.  Students need to be able to watch where they are running, that is why i do not play this with the younger grades. (Can be modified for youger grades by only going one until all students have gotten to the other side.  In this game there is one Main “Martian” they are the tagger.  The students will start on one side of the gym and say together “Man from Mars, Man from mars will you take me to the stars” then the martian will say yes if you are wearing and pick a color.  If the students are wearing this color they will try to run past the martian and get to the other side of the galexy.  If they are tagged they become a matian or tagger.  It is a simple game and the students love it.
