Jump Rope Routine

Sixth graders are required to perform a jump rope routine that includes seven elements or tricks. They must have someone enter a long rope as it is being twirled. They also must have someone juggle. They can add dance, gymnastics, pogo stick jumping a long rope, yo-yo tricks, or any other talent they want to showcase. The routine also has to have music. Through practice of their routines, sixth graders better understand the importance of cardiovascular fitness and the benefits of jumping rope. It is an affordable exercise that can be done virtually anywhere!
