EMOSEWA

This game was designed with the need to assess the throwing and catching techniques of third and fourth grade students. Students came into the gym the day after they were introduced to this game asking if they could play “that awesome game” which is how the name of the game was derived. After many  requests, the activity of the day which was to include throwing and catching with scoops was changed to incorporate scoops into this game. The game can be played with or without the scoops. Skills addressed in this game include overhand throwing, underhand throwing, catching, hand/eye coordination, teamwork, tracking an object, and spacial awareness.
