This is a fast paced high energy warm-up that is designed to motivate students to give a good effort. The faster the “human stopwatch” runs the less time their partner will have to score points. This free warm-up is an example of what can be found in my “Mix and Match” P.E. curriculum which can be found in my TPT store page: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/s…

Monkey Squats: Stand straight with feet shoulder width apart. With your left arm in front and your right arm in back squat down and touch the floor with your left palm. Keep your back vertical and your head up. Stand back up and now squat down with your right hand in front and your left arm extended behind you.
Sleepy Crabs: Sit on the floor with your knees bent and your hands on the floor behind you. Balancing on your hands and feet raise your hips up high while raising your left leg up and touch your left foot with your right hand. Now lower back to the floor and then repeat touching your right foot with your left hand.
Sit-ups: Sitting down with your knees bent, arms folded, and hands on your shoulders. Lower your back onto the floor so that your shoulders touch the mat. Keep your hands on your shoulders and sit back up until your elbows touch your knees.
Push-ups: Start on hands and toes with your arms lengthened and back straight. Lower yourself toward the floor until your elbows are at a ninety degree angle. Return to starting position. Use a folded gym mat under your hands to make this exercise easier.
