Simon in PE — Pattern Jumping — Best Activity Idea

Have you ever played the memory game SIMON?  This game is designed around that concept.  This is a video that involves memory, jumping and landing skills, creativity, patterns, leadership opportunities, and teamwork.  Build the game by using floor tape a plus (+)  symbol on the ground using four different colors.  The object is for one partner to create a simple jumping pattern over the colors and have the other partner try to match that pattern.  There are endless possibilities for this activity using all of the different jumping and landing patterns.  Students self-select which jumping pattern they want to use and how many of each jump to challenge their partner.  This pattern jumping game is fun for all ages!  I even tried it with my staff after school for a wellness workout and they loved it!
