Underhand Strike Practice

Place balloons in hoops and have students try to stay in self-space as they strike a balloon upward using the flat part of their hand.  they may also use a short handled implement to try the same skill.  Advanced levels include using a smaller balloon or a small foam ball.  I taped the cues for striking with a short handled implement on one of our lollipop paddles.  Our students have found this strategy as very useful to use during instruction.
