Tinikling/Chinese Jump rope

Dance unit on Tinikling. We also use Chinese Jump ropes for this traditional Philipino Dance. When you use the jump ropes everyone in the group is getting a good workout. There are three steps you will need to teach: hops, singles and doubles. These steps are taught in a straight line first and then we form the triangles. Every step is done to an eight count. The polers have to keep the rythm steady as the dancers are performing.
