three step jumping

Students are given a floor rope and they were asked to take a three step approach before jumping over their rope.  they could make thier rope any size they wanted but both ends of the rope had to touch.  If the rope shape was too small and they could jump over it easily they were to increase the size of their rope shape.  if the rope shape was too big (they could not jump over the rope) from a three step take-off they were to make the shape smaller.  The idea was to find out how far they could jump over the rope, land safely, and yet still be able to jump over their rope.  We incorporated all 5 jumping and landing patterns into this activity.  Have fun!
