Students will enter the gymnasium and immediately begin traveling around perimeter of room jogging and jumping over floor ropes in a large circle. Once switch signal is given a set of 6 students will periodically rest and wiggle the ropes for the oncoming students to pass over. This continues until all students have had a turn to wiggle the floor ropes (rest). This is a great way to motivate your students instead of the traditional “running laps”method. MOdifications include having the rope wiggle raise the rope on a diagonla plane to allow students to choose their jumping level or increasing the distance of the rope wiggle for a greater challenge for jumping students. If you would like to use this as a form of assessment have students jump/land using any of the fundamental jumping and landing patterns when they travel over a rope (2-2, 2-1, etc…) Reminder: One student per cone, I believe on the video I stated 6 students per cone.
