A great game to culminate any striking with implements unit.
Batting team scores by hitting it to different zones (farther = more points)
– The teacher marks tally marks as student’s hit the ball
Fielding team scores 2 Points for each ball placed in a bucket by the time the whistle blows. (no need to keep track during the game, just count them up at the end)
Rules:
1. If the ball is caught in the air it is worth no points to the batting team, but still counts for fielders if they put it in the bucket
2. Each round is 2 minutes, at the end of the round count the points, declare the leader and switch batters and fielders
*A great leadup activity to this is Grand Slam (see my videos), you can combine the 4 teams into 2 teams and leave pretty much the same setup.
