I think technically you are not supposed to tie it and just do the twist and tuck method, but I’ve found a hair tie or rubber band will help it stay crimped a little longer
.
The more air you can get into it and the tighter it gets the better chance you have to keep it pumped up longer because the pressure of the air is what is holding the knot
.
