Building a PE City Center

Bellerose Central is an annual activity in our P.E. program. The gym is designed to mimic a city center; it has stores, a bank and a road. Students earn money either by driving their cars around, earning 1 Bellerose dollar each time they pass the banker ($1/ lap) or by working at certain stores for a shift. Students can then spend their earned money at any of the stores. Options include: a work-out gym, dance- dance- revolution, a cargo net, batting cage, a rope swing, ping pong, hippity hops, a basketball shoot out machine, movie theater, roller racers, artist studio, scooter hockey or basketball, mini golf, building blocks and many more. We also offer services: adopt a pet- students bring a bean bag animal around with them for class, a bus ride and car dealership. The children just love it! All of our students, every age and ability level benefit from this event. We see them cooperating, demonstrating honesty, responsibility and goal setting. Students are active for the entire period.
