March Madness Tournament 🎉

A great way to close out a Basketball Unit is with a culminating experience like a small sided tournament
.
I usually wait until 3rd or 4th grade to do this with my kids because the younger grades haven’t built the necessary skills to play an actual game yet, but my older kiddos love to get to experience our "March Madness" class tournament
.
I normally do a round robin style tourny with 3-4 minute rounds and teams of 3 or 4 🏀
.
In between rounds I give any needed refinements and shout out positive behaviors that I see (Like being a good sport or finding open space)
.
