Baseketball 21

Set up: Divide the class up into equal teams. 4 to 5 are a good size but any number is acceptable. Depends on class size and number of baskets you have. Objective: To develop addition skills. To be the first player to get up to the score of “21”. To have fun in a recreational game setting. Students are learning a recreational game they can play with classmates out on the playground or at home. Procedure: Number the students off to give the students a shooting order. Each student will get 2 shots. The first shot is worth (2) points and has to be taken from a designated spot (free throw line)or poly spot. The second shot is taken from where ever the shooter gets their own rebound. This shot is worth one point. Even if the shooter misses his first shot they always get a second shot. If the shooter makes both the first and second shot they have scored a total of 3 points for their turn and are rewarded by being able to shoot again. If they miss any one of the two shots they give u
