Climbing and Spelling

Just another idea for rock climbing walls collaboration, and cross-curricular activities. I super glued metal washers to my rock wall (because I don’t have the magnetic wall) and ordered magnetic letters. I place the letters up high on the wall and put students into small groups. I get their spelling words from the home room teachers and give each group a word. The students climb to find the letters and then place them on my magnetic white board I bolted to the wall and spell out the words. When they’re finished they put them back on the wall for the next group.
