Bases and Baskets

This is a modified kickball game. It’s an easy lesson to leave for a substitute teacher for a day. The kicker’s objective is to kick the ball and run around all the bases all the way to home. Anywhere in the gym is fair play for the ball. In the outfield, there is a catcher and shooter assigned. In order for the outfield to get an out, the team must retrieve the kickball, throw it to the catcher who then places the kickball in the trash can. Once the kickball is placed in the trash can, the shooter can pick up the basketball and try and make it in the hoop. If they can do this before the kicker runs all the way to home, it’s an out. If not, then the kicker scores a point for their team.
